Or maybe not. Dish should consider themselves lucky that the Dawgs lost, otherwise we would have had some serious issues.
After convincing our friends Andy and Shana to join us at our house to watch the game, we found out that the channel that would be airing the game was blacked out due to a dispute between Dish and Fox. Not all was lost though because the game would be airing on an alternate channel (or so we thought). Game time rolls around, the kids are in bed watching a movie and we are ready to watch the game, except the game isn't actually airing on the alternate channel. To say Peter and Andy were unhappy is an understatement.
The poor AJC salesman that knocked on our door at 7:05pm experienced the wrath of Peter's unhappiness firsthand. And told the neighbors about it. Awesome.
But what are we to do if we can't get the game on tv?
We watch it on Peter's laptop via skype and a webcam thanks to some good friends that took pity on us! We also had the radio going so we could actually hear the calls and the Florida Alabama game on the tv. Redneck or technologically savvy?
Clearly Peter was not happy with the current situation.
At halftime, the kids came down and we convinced them that the computer was magic. Mason thought it was hilarious! The kids would ask the computer questions and the computer would talk back with them (the computer being Dale). Maddie asked the computer for an electric scooter for Christmas. The computer, thankfully, answered no.
And just for fun . . . Shana had the hiccups and we had her drinking water while plugging her ears. I don't remember if it actually worked or not, but the pictures make me laugh!
