Gwinnett Heart Walk

On Sunday we went to a benefit dinner for the Gwinnett Heart Walk. My Dad's company has been a supporter of the heart walk for the last 4 or 5 years and this year, they had a benefit dinner to help raise money.

Here are some interesting facts (per my sister's email):

Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women, NOT cancer? However, cardiovascular disease is not only the number one killer of women, but it is also America's number one killer, claiming more than 870,000 lives each year...a life every 34 seconds. Heart disease does not discriminate; it affects people of all races and ethnicities - our grandmothers, aunts, uncles, fathers, wives and neighbors. The statistics are scary, but we can turn them around.

Again this year, Kentec is participating in the American Heart Association's Start! Heart Walk on September 20th. I'm asking you, my friends and family, for your support in this worthy cause. All monies donated are tax deductible and go towards professional education & training, research, public health education and community services.
