It Snowed . . . Again!

What do you do on a cold, nasty, snowy day? Well, you invite the neighbors over for some pink cupcakes, chili, and guitar hero, of course!

Can you believe it? It snowed . . . twice in 1 week! Unfortunately, for us the snow the 2nd time around was just wet and yucky and Maddie couldn't go out and play in it. But, it was pretty to look at nonetheless. The thought of being couped up in the house all weekend with nothing to do was enough to make me crazy. So, what do you do when you can't go out and play??? Well, we made pink cupcakes of course! Let me explain. . . Ever since Nana and Grandaddy gave Maddie the book Pinkerella for Christmas, it's been all things pink! So, while everybody else is making a mad dash to the grocery store for the necessities . . . milk, eggs, chili stuff . . . we are buying strawberry cake mix, pink icing, and red wine (hey, I needed a little entertainment for myself!). Our neighbors, Wendy and Sophie, came over and the girls made their pink cupcakes. Maddie changed outfits throughout the day, but rest assured, she remained in pink all day long!

The big kids managed to keep themselves busy as well . . . guitar hero definitely got a run for it's money! I don't even want to check the game log to see how long that thing was played! For those who have never played it before, it's harder than it looks!

This is just cute, so I thought I'd add it. Nana gave Maddie High School Musical for the Wii and she just LOVES it! She's a little dramatic, but super cute!
