Sleepwalker

I have a sleepwalker on my hands. My little girl has been known to walk in our room in the middle of the night, drink ALL of my water, and then head on back to her bed without a peep. Well, tonight takes the cake. She went to bed fairly early tonight. Really, she was sent to her room with no bedtime stories, no goodnight show, nothing but a kiss on the cheek. Why you may ask? Well, she has quickly figured out that if she ignores me the first couple times I ask her to do something, I may, at times, just totally forget all together and go on with my day. Well, I'm on to her sneaky ways. So, after ignoring my requests to help pick up her toys outside, she was "grounded". Yep, I sound like my mom . . . and I truly have a new respect for her and her patience. Really, I'm lucky to be alive today.

But, I digress . . . she had been asleep tonight for a good hour and a half when I hear her crying. I go up to her room and she wailing. I ask her what is wrong and all I can get is mumbling about wanting to go to the pool. And she's walking around her room as if she's lost. With her eyes closed. So, I pick her up and put her back in bed and she's out. Oh, and her pajamas are on backwards . . . it was all I could do not to laugh . . . bless her heart.

It was almost as good as when in the middle of the night she sat up and sang Row, Row, Row your Boat while at my mom's house!
