Friday Night Lights

That's right folks, it's storm season in Canton.
Friday night they got a little close for comfort. While Bekah and Wendy were away for a ladies night out (when is guy's night out?) Tony and Sophie came over to play. We were happy in the den watching TV and playing on the floor when a huge crack of thunder and bright flash of lighting hit simultaneously. "Man that was close" I said. "That was right outside" Tony said.
So I looked out our back door, only to see a decent amount of smoke hovering over Tony's deck as if someone had just shot off some fireworks. "I think it hit your house."

Tony ran over and checked it out and it indeed appeared that lighting had hit his back deck. Not much damage just some melted wires and a piece of his railing had been pretty much disintegrated. He checked the entire house and no fires or additional (exterior) damage could be found. So he came back over and called Wendy to tell her the news.
It was decided that it might be a good idea to call the fire department to see if they had any thoughts or would send someone out to inspect for damage.
Well... they did.

As Bekah mentions below, we did have some electrical difficulties as did Tony and Wendy, but all-in-all I think we ended up okay.

All of this reminds me of a song.

(it's the lightining song at the bottom of the page)
