My sweet girl, you blessed us with your presence 4 years ago today. Wow. We had no idea how parenthood would change our lives, but we were sure it was going to be different. You have enriched our lives more than you will ever know. Truly, I had no idea that poopy talk would bring us so much joy!
Here are some of the highlights from the last 4 years . . .
- You were born on your due date after being in labor with you for 18 hours (and my kidneys nearly shutting down).
- You were a good sleeper early on . . . a trait you get from your father.
- You were walking by the time you were 9 months, running by 10, and we were crazy enough to encourage it! As first time parents, we just didn't know any better!
- Your first real word was Bubble. You were 14 months old and it was the evening of Great G-Daddy and Betty's wedding.
- You could have cared less about using the big girl potty. You would have preferred to sit around in a poopy diaper than to stop playing and actually go to the bathroom.
- Your voice can be heard from miles around. It just has that "special ring".
- You have picked up my slang and now speak like me . . . oops
- You have been riding a two wheeler for about 2 weeks now. Your falls scare me to death, but I try my hardest not to gasp too loud
- You are incredibly kind hearted. Every time I hear you say, "thank you mom" it melts my heart
- You are the best big sister Mason could have and the best daughter we could ever ask for
