Well, it's that time of year when the neighbors start screaming for us to clean up the yard. Well, they've never actually said anything to us, but they're probably thinking it! We're not really yard people in the Sanford household. I mean, we like having a yard, but we don't really care for the upkeep of it. Unfortunately none of us were blessed with green thumbs. But, in honor of Peter and Maddie's birthday . . . I put them to work! That's right, on Saturday Maddie and Peter worked tirelessly spreading nearly half of that big pile into our yard (the other part went to our neighbors). It's May, which means it's the month of birthdays in our house. It's almost like Christmas all over again . . . of course, without the tree, lights, wreaths, sweet smell of hot apple cider . . . well, you get my point . . . there are LOTS of gift giving. Peter will be turning 31 this Friday (9th), his Dad the big 6-0 on Saturday(10th), Peter's brother, Paul's birthday is next Monday (12th), and last but not least, Maddie's 4th birthday is next Tuesday (13th). Whew, I'm almost out of breath. But, were not done yet . . . Paul's wife, Seiko, her birthday is just a week later on the 20th. Busy, busy, busy! We're very blessed and excited that this year we get have Peter's Nana in town to help celebrate Bill's 60th birthday (and Maddie's 4th)! Plus, this will be her first visit with Mason!
Oh, and you'll notice in the background that I FINALLY have my car back. It took them 5 days to figure out what was wrong with it. And, they then had the audacity to tell me that they worked real hard to figure out what the problem was and think they've got it fixed. Really?? Sorry to make you guys do your job. . . I think a strongly worded letter to the good folks at Nissan is in order. I sure hope 4th times a charm!
Well, I must run . . . Mason has decided he's tired of napping . . .
